Overview
In my undergraduate years, I focused on full-fledged qualitative studies, centered around human behavior during conflict. I was even published in the South Dakota Legal Journal in 2007 for my work on categorizing mediator styles and behavior. Often in technology, we have to make a lot of bets and product decisions based on assumptions. I find that quick, strategically planned research helps us tilt the odds of those bets, in our favor.

The broadest type of research that I perform, generative research techniques I provide cast a wide net over our intended user and customer base to find opportunities for our product team to solve problems and expand success in their world.
focused architecture
My bread-and-butter, information architecture focuses on the foundation of our product experience and the data relationships that make that experience possible. I conduct tree testing, open/closed/hybrid card sorts and surveys to help our team decide the best way to structure, catalog and organize our foundational product concepts for our users.
usability & Validation
The nitty-grittiest of my testing capabilities, I can also drill-down to specific product features to test if they are easy to use and if they solve the intended problems for our users. This includes things like A/B testing, task analysis, and general conversion tracking during the in-product experienc.
